Known as one of the best mountain sports regions in the world, participate in North Lake Tahoe’s Alpenglow Sports Mountain Festival for a week-long lineup of lectures, workshops and equipment demos alongside some of the most decorated mountain sports athletes out there. A fave event for locals and visitors alike, this annual gathering is far more than an event. What you’ll experience at this nine-day festival celebrates the alpine lifestyle through human-powered mountain sports with clinics and workshops with the pros, award-winning films, special lectures, and more. Traditionally held at the Olympic Village Lodge at Palisades Tahoe, the lineup of Alpenglow Sports Mountain Festival special events will happen throughout a jam-packed nine days featuring 80 individual events that are almost entirely free.

Geared toward beginner and intermediate winter recreation enthusiasts, Alpenglow Mountain Festival showcases some of the best activities Lake Tahoe has to offer—backcountry skiing and splitboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, natural history, yoga, live music, educational workshops, social gatherings and more. Sign up for backcountry touring and safety clinics, the Aplenglow 20k Nordic Race, Mountainfilm Kick-Off Party, Tailgate Talks, Nachtspektakel, PechaKucha, Various backcountry ski and snowshoe tours, snowshoe natural history and astronomy, garden to glass mixology, wilderness first aid for dogs, ski mountaineering, backcountry terrain management, beacon skills, cold exposure workshop, backcountry photography, skate ski clinics, and more.
