Goldfield Days Celebration & Land Auction
Ready to get to know Nevada’s Wild West side? Make sure you’ve got this lively, three-day celebration on the calendar, featuring a parade, land auction, period costume contest, Goldfield Historic High School and Historic Goldfield Hotel ghost tours, a poker walk, a legendary land auction, and beyond. As one of the richest and last major gold strikes in Nevada that caught the attention of Old West greats like Wyatt and Virgil Earp, there’s no better way to get in the Silver State spirit than a lineup of only-in-Goldfield events like the miners’ liar contests, old-fashioned children’s games, Wild West gunfights, lots of great live music, and plenty of Western BBQ.
All of the in-town, participatory events are what makes Goldfield Days one of the Nevada greats, though the legendary Goldfield Land Auction is what separates this Nevada event from the pack. Stake your claim on your very own piece of the “World’s Greatest Gold Camp” during Goldfield Days, where you can have your name on the title of a piece of a real Nevada ghost town. Folks from around the country and world have purchased parcels of Goldfield land—maybe in hopes of resurrecting century old gold discoveries, to say they own a piece of the American West, or both. Either way, be sure to register for the Esmeralda County Land Auction ahead of time, then make your live bids during the Goldfield Days Celebration.
Hosted by the Goldfield Historical Society and Goldfield Chamber of Commerce, this three-day event takes over the historic town of Goldfield, inviting first timers, to 20-year attendees and everyone in between to take part in this Nevada top annual event. When you get to town, head for the event’s HQ at the Goldfield Community Center. Here, you’ll be able to get a lay of the land, figure out what activities are happening when and where, and get more info from the folks who live here on what other attractions to make sure you experience while you’re in town.
