Dam Short Film Festival
There’s no better way to take in Nevada’s largest film festival than from the heart of a historic, Art Deco downtown. Every February, filmmakers and fans from all corners of the world flock to Boulder City to celebrate the art of short film. Over the course of six days, the Dam Short Film Festival presents more than 150 independent short films of all styles and genres.

Comedy. Drama. Animation. Sci-fi. Horror. Documentary. Student films. The Dam Short Film Festival offers it all and more. In addition to film screenings, the festival features multiple days of events across Boulder City, including filmmaker mixers, meet-and-greets, and special programs that encourage conversation between creators and audiences. Winning films are determined by audience votes for every screening category, and awards are also given for Best Nevada Filmmaker and the Leslie Paige Award for Excellence in Filmmaking.
