There’s no better way to take in Nevada’s largest film festival than in the heart of an Art Deco-fied historic downtown that’s been part of the Nevada story for nearly 100 years. Every February, filmmakers and fans from all corners of the world flock to Boulder City to celebrate the art of short film. Over the course of five days, the Dam Short Film Festival presents more than 120 independent short films of all styles and genres.

Comedy. Drama. Animation. Sci-fi. Horror. Documentary. Student films. The Dam Short Film Festival offers it all and more. The five-day film fest—Nevada’s largest—also includes a filmmaker meet and greet, mixers, and an awards ceremony. Winning films are determined by audience votes for every screening category, and awards are also given for Best Nevada Filmmaker, Best Music Video, and the Leslie Paige Award for Excellence in Filmmaking.
