Reno River Festival—Cancelled
August 15, 2020 @ 5:00 am – August 16, 2020 @ 3:00 pm
The Reno River Festival is cancelled in 2020. We look forward to welcoming you back in 2021!
The annual Reno River Festival takes outdoor adventure to a whole new level in downtown Reno, having expanded the experience with more live music, more craft beer, more shopping and the family-friendly scavenger hunt.
Celebrating the Truckee River for the past 17 years, the Reno River Festival is an epic event filled with plenty of food, shopping, family-friendly rides and attractions, a Craft Beer Experience, a Summer Wine Village, live music from nationally recognized artists, a Mother-Daughter Look-A-Like Contest, yoga in the park, as well as the Reno River Roll, one of the most unique bike rides in Northern Nevada.
At the center of it all are the world’s top whitewater athletes competing at the Truckee River Whitewater Park, and this year marks the largest collection of obstacles, rides, challenges, and games ever! The park boasts a summer carnival atmosphere with one-of-a-kind thrills for the whole family! Whether you have little ones who like to bounce or you want to fly high above the record rapids of the Truckee River, the Adventure Park has fun for everyone!
Drawing more than 50,000 people to downtown Reno’s Riverwalk District and Wingfield Park, the Reno River Festival has become one of the region’s biggest events that marks the beginning of event season in the Truckee Meadows.
The Music Festival within the Reno River Festival features live music on two stages—Wingfield Park Amphitheater and Craft Beer Village—for artists behind some of the biggest hits on the radio performing the music they wrote for major stars.
The Craft Beer Village on the Truckee’s peninsula peak not only features an expanded selection of brews and live music on stage, but it offers the perfect setting from which to watch the whitewater events. Upgrade to the full Craft Beer Experience and get access to our Limited Release Tent, where you can enjoy the rarest craft beers from local breweries. Our Limited Release Tent is next door to our Summer Wine Village in the heart of the music festival. Both are prime spots for watching live music on the stage Wingfield Park Amphitheater stage!
The Reno River Festival delivers one of the largest outdoor bars that downtown Reno has ever seen!
And don’t forget about the shopping! Our Smuggler’s Village has expanded beyond Wingfield Park to include the Reno Riverwalk! More than 100 shops will line the Riverwalk and fill the park with everything from handmade crafts to popular retail items. You’ll be able to shop for everything from summer clothes, home decor, purses, hats, jewelry, and more. Looking for something unique, locally made, or hand-crafted? The Reno River Festival will be the place to find it.
A new event last year, the competitive scavenger hunt is family-friendly and team-oriented, allowing participants to discover Reno and its history. Competitors explore Wingfield Park and surrounding areas for their chance to win prizes!
The Reno River Roll is the biggest sensation of the Reno River Festival, and it’s getting amped up for 2020 with an interactive, costumed slow tour through the streets of Reno and chances for riders to win along the way!
