Outdoor Inn
Tucked away in the heart of the quiet, historic townsite of Jarbidge, the Outdoor Inn makes for the perfect base camp while exploring this remote northeastern corner of Nevada. Situated in some of Nevada’s most spectacular countryside—the Jarbidge Wilderness Area—locals and visitors alike come to this section of the state to dive into the spirit of rural Nevada and access unparalleled backcountry adventure. Phenomenal big game hunting and fishing are right around every corner, and if you’re in search of Wild West history, you’ve come to the right place.
While Jarbidge’s enchanting history dates all the way back to the early 1900s, the Outdoor Inn was built in 1970 and has been a steady heartbeat in the community since. A devastating fire decimated the property in 1999, but by 2000, the inn was completely rebuilt and opened for business once more. In business for more than 50 years, the Outdoor Inn couldn’t be a better launch pad for outdoor adventure in one of the most special places in Nevada.
OUTDOOR INN
Boasting a rustic, 10-room hotel, including seven suites with in-room bathrooms, the Outdoor Inn offers a variety of lodging options fit for just about every need and budget. Visitors will find that the Outdoor Inn is located in “downtown” Jarbidge, adjoining the restaurant and saloon.
Best yet, the Outdoor Inn features an on-site restaurant with mouthwatering home-style cooking, including specialty items like homemade breads, jellies, pies, ice cream, and milkshakes. The burgers here always seem to hit the spot, too. The property features a full-service bar, which is the perfect place to quench your thirst and hear local lore.
THE BARN & RV SITES
Just a few miles beyond “downtown” Jarbidge, those looking for more budget friendly options, big group accommodations, or RV sites will love The Barn. Part of the Outdoor Inn property, The Barn offers a bit more rustic yet comfortable lodging options. Perfect for a group of hunters or a large group of road trippers, the barn is outfitted with comfy yet modest rooms with communal bathrooms. Just outside The Barn is the Outdoor Inn’s 14-unit RV park with full hookups, situated along the banks of the storied Jarbidge River. The RV park is pet friendly, while the Outdoor Inn and The Barn are not.
Whether passing through this alluring community or stopping in for a good meal and great conversation, be sure to take note of the arrows jutting out of the wall in the bar. As most of Nevada’s trophy deer and other big game animals come from this region, anyone who has filled their hunting tags by bow hunting is invited to shoot an arrow into the wall inside the bar.
A true gem buried deep in the heart of some of the most beautiful backcountry in Nevada, make Jarbidge and the Outdoor Inn a place to see on your next #NVRoadTrip—sure to be a backroad adventure you won’t soon forget.
