Clark County Wetlands Park
Offering a unique, natural getaway less than 10 miles from The Strip, Clark County Wetlands Park spans 2,900 acres between Las Vegas and Henderson. Hundreds of wildlife species make their home here, and miles of trails will invite you to discover them all.
Clark County Wetlands Park is a critical habitat for southern Nevada wildlife. Residents include more than 70 species of mammals (including elusive beavers and raccoons), reptiles, amphibians, and at least 310 species of birds. The park’s five paved and hard-packed trails—part of a 34-mile trail system—crisscross through stands of phragmites, cottonwood groves, and mesquite bosques.
The Nature Center is a centerpiece of the park. Inside the 10,000-square-foot exhibit gallery, visitors find interactive displays, dioramas, and artwork. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy it inside the Lizard Lounge or catch themed movies inside the auditorium. A gift shop sells light snacks, drinks, apparel, and kids’ activities. Clark County Wetlands Park also hosts numerous events, ranging from birding walks and nature crafts to evening lectures and holiday experiences.
Designated areas at Clark County Wetlands Park allow bikes, horses, and leashed dogs. Fishing, camping, swimming, boating, and off-road driving are always prohibited.
