Satisfy your need for speed at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, once dubbed the “Racing Capital of the West” by Sports Illustrated. With more than a dozen different venues, including go-kart racing and drag strips to a 1.5-mile paved oval speedway where NASCAR burns rubber twice annually, this is racing central for the Las Vegas area.

And did we mention Exotics Racing, where you can take your pick from numerous exotic racing cars (like the Ferrari 488 or Lamborghini Huracan) out for the ultimate driving experience around the track?

With 1,600 acres of action and weekday track tours in northeastern Las Vegas, it’s easy to see why the “Diamond in the Desert” has been deemed the most remarkable race complex in the world.

While there’s a lot of excitement around the return of Formula 1 to the Las Vegas Strip in 2023, NASCAR race fans know the area is already a hotbed of professional racing. In fact, there are two turbo-charged stock car racing weekends at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway every year, giving NASCAR fans double the chances to see their favorite drivers up close. Two of the most anticipated events on the NASCAR calendar, the Pennzoil 400 takes place in the spring and the South Point 400 happens in the fall.

The Spring and Fall NASCAR Weekend events bring nonstop action to LVMS, filling three days with practice, qualifying, and playoff races. A hauler parade, pre-race concert, and fully loaded fan zone add to the race day excitement, too. Fans who want access to autograph sessions and the drivers meeting can upgrade to experience the one-of-a-kind Neon Garage.

Las Vegas Racing: NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series

The NHRA Four-Wide Nationals take place in the spring, and the top names in drag racing return to Las Vegas in the fall for the NHRA Nevada Nationals, which can determine world championships in numerous racing classes.
