Discover the haunted history of Nevada’s capital city with Madame Curry (a spirited, fictional character named after the widow of Abe Curry, Carson City’s founder), her Spirit Wranglers, and some special guests. Delightfully spooky, Carson City Ghost Walks show off the spirited past—and sometimes present—of the West Side Historic District, highlighting stories and legends of the Wild West town.
Carson City Ghost Walks are offered on select Saturday evenings during fall. Led by flashlight, tours typically depart at 7 p.m. from the Bob McFadden Plaza in downtown Carson City. Witty spirit guides detail the paranormal lore of historic homes and businesses over 90 minutes. Ahead of Halloween, Carson City Ghost Walk offers all-day special tours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on October 19. Visit Carson City Ghost Walk’s website for specific tour dates and times.
Tours depart rain or shine, and Carson City Ghost Walk tickets can be purchased in advance for $20 ($25 cash if you show up at the door). Private tours may be available upon request.
