For nearly a decade, the Nevada Women’s Film Festival has been part of a growing consciousness raising movement happening in the movie world and our greater culture. This year, the film festival returns to Las Vegas, showcasing an exciting lineup of films featuring a strong female presence, from the heart of downtown Las Vegas.
Supported by the Nevada Arts Council, the National Endowment of the Arts, Nevada Humanities, and the National Endowment for the Humanities, this exciting, four day event, provides festival-goers access to dozens of official selections and screenings. Throughout the film festival, awards will be given for Nevada Woman Filmmaker of the Year, Best Feature, Best Feature Documentary, Best Short Fiction, Best LGBTQ Themed Film, Best Experimental Film, Audience Favorite, and many more. Filmmakers of all genders from all over the world are encouraged to submit to the festival!
Special events include the Nevada Woman Filmmaker of the Year, with a filmmaker reception and mixer to follow, along with the 2022 Vanguard Award Honoree with an accompanying panel discussion. The NWFFest 2022 will take place at MEET Las Vegas, which is located in downtown Las Vegas, just one block from the Strip and two blocks from the Fremont Street Experience. Parking is available at the Douglas Parking Log on a first-come, first-served basis with varying pricing based on time and date of arrival ranging from $5-10 per hour.
