Thrill of the heat beckons the Wild West’s most talented chili cooks to Virginia City each May to compete in the annual Chili on the Comstock. Intensely hot or gently mellow, red or green, and everything in between, this cook-off has got ’em all in one place.

Chili lovers rejoice at the endless varieties to sample along Historic C Street, all cooked up by top chili chefs competing for a spot in the International Chili Society World Finals. Tantalize your tastebuds with dozens of chili flavors and textures, then wash it all down with plenty of cold, refreshing craft brews. Choose from tickets that get you access to beer tastings, chili tastings, chili AND beer tastings, and even a designated driver package.
If you really want to crank up the flames, sign up for the hot chili pepper eating challenge. The top three finishers get trophies, and one champion will go home with half the registration pot.
