Reno Rodeo: Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West
June 18 @ 5:00 am – June 27 @ 5:00 pm
The Reno Rodeo is cancelled in 2020. We look forward to welcoming you back in 2021!
The herd hits town for the 101st time on June 18 at high noon, corner of Oddie Boulevard and Sutro Street, to kick start “The Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West” and finish the traditional 300-head cattle drive, a five-day wild west journey from Doyle, CA, to Reno.
A Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) sanctioned sporting event, the Reno Rodeo celebrates 101 years in 2020.
More than 140,000 rodeo fans come to “The Biggest Little City in the World” to watch 10 intense days of bull riding, cattle drives, steer wrestling, roping, barrel racing and more. The Reno Rodeo is a nationally televised sports championship that infuses the local Reno/Sparks area economy with $42 million going to hotels, casinos, restaurants and retail businesses.
Often broadcast on television via CBS Sports, Fox Sports Net, Versus, ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPN Classic, the Reno Rodeo has grown into the fourth richest PRCA tour rodeo and third best among USA Today’s 10 Best Readers Choice.
In addition to watching the events, guests are invited to learn about rodeo activities through family sessions and lessons throughout the 10-day rodeo extravaganza. The traditional Reno Rodeo Parade will be held Saturday, June 20 at 10 a.m. downtown North Virginia Street.
