This no-frills Mexican BBQ joint serves up Tahoe-sized portions of fire-roasted chicken, juicy beef tri-tip, and pork—fresh off the rotisserie—in the form of burritos, quesadillas, tostadas, “huge tacos,” and more. Everything at T’s Mesquite Rotisserie is freshly house-made, from the soy-lime and Yucatan-style (citrus, pineapple, and achiote chili) marinades to the variety of salsas (the habañero packs the heat) and even the fluffy tortillas and thick, crispy chips.

One look at the hours and you realize these guys know their clientele. Their daily 11:00 AM open time is ideal for picking up a whole-chicken Family Pac before hitting Tahoe’s sandy beaches, and that 8:00 PM closing time guarantees that something hot and huge awaits you after a day of sendin’ it silly, on the slopes or on the trail.
