All aboard for an only-found-here experience in Ely! Go loco(motive) at the Nevada Northern Railway and take in stunning high desert views on the Sunset, Stars & Champagne train.
Departing from the East Ely Depot, ride the rails out of the city and into the surrounding Steptoe Valley, which offers up incredible panoramas of those summertime sunsets Nevada is known for. Watch as some of the darkest skies in the country come alive with thousands of stars, constellations, planets, and galaxies, often visible to the naked eye. While telescopes are not part of this themed train experience, feel free to bring along your own star charts or smartphone apps to help orient yourself with Nevada’s night skies. A glass of champagne (or sparkling cider) is included with your fare, and other cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages are for sale on board.
