For the entire month of July, Reno isn’t just an art town—it becomes Artown. Widely regarded as one of the most comprehensive arts festivals in the country by the National Endowment for the Arts, Artown dazzles the community with a monthlong celebration of arts and culture featuring hundreds of events, workshops, and performances. This dynamic festival takes over all corners of “The Biggest Little City in the World,” including the Downtown Reno Riverwalk, the eclectic MidTown district, and beyond.
The Biggest Little City in the World is many things. In July, “Reno Is Artown,” when everyone’s invited to hundreds of mostly free arts events—music, dance, theater, film, and more—happening all over town, every single day of July.
Since its founding in 1995, Artown has captured the span of the human imagination and the spirit of creativity through distinguished local, national, and global artists. Whether it’s enjoying live music, immersing yourself in art experiences, catching diverse stage performances, or getting hands-on in endless workshops, there’s no shortage of activities to keep you entertained.
The calendar of events, from Artown’s opening nights through closing festivities, is curated across twelve categories, including Music, Dance, Cultural, Theater, History, Visual, Kids, Film, Literary, Special, Workshops, and Ongoing.
