Silver State Chili Cook-Off
Every March, talented chili cooks—professionals and amateurs alike—come to Pahrump to compete for the coveted title of Nevada’s Best Chili. Sanctioned by the International Chili Society (ICS), the state championship cook-off anchors a weekend full of live music, carnival rides, and contests.
Belly up to dozens of bowls of chili made by award-winning competitors at this best-of-the-best fest in Pahrump.
On Saturday and Sunday, ICS members serve up their best chilis as they compete for cash and plaques in various categories, including traditional red, chili verde, homestyle, veggie, and people’s choice. Chili sampling is $10 for 12 tastes, and don’t forget to vote for your favorite after trying ‘em all.

Between bowls of chili, enjoy food and drink from other tasty vendors, concerts, and more entertainment. There will be chili eating contests as well as games and activities for kids. Two charities will also benefit from Silver State Chili Cook-Off proceeds—Nye County Cinderella Girls and St. Jude’s Ranch for Children.
