One of the easiest ways of embarking on the Goldfield Historic Walking Tour is by visiting the Goldfield Visitor Center on the north edge of town. Here, you’ll be able to get your hands on walking tour maps and more information about the National Historic District before you. The Goldfield Historic Walking Tour consists of a whopping 190 stops, that each include the name of the historic site, its location, and why it’s crucial to the Goldfield story. Some stops along the way include the Historic Goldfield High School (currently undergoing complete historic preservation), the Goldfield Hotel, a handful of historic homes with architectural importance including Tex Rickard’s, the Brown Parker Garage and Auto Co., the Santa Fe Saloon, some of the first claims in the Goldfield Mining District, the Tonopah and Goldfield Railroad Office, and many more.
