17 WAYS TO GIVE ORDINARY ADVENTURE THE HEAVE-HO | SYDNEY MARTINEZ

Nevada has a way of sneaking up on you… it has a way of hitting you with surprises that will turn you into a Nevadaphile in one fell swoop. All you gotta do is let it in so it can do its thing. The cultural scene is on point… the wild history can pull you down an insane rabbit hole from nearly anywhere you stand… but there’s something else that’s always a front runner: outdoor adventure, baby

For me, it’s almost a weird guilty pleasure—feeling like you’re getting away with something you shouldn't in a state that’s stereotyped as flat, barren and empty. When you’re basking in one of the dozens of off-grid hot springs under the milky way, hundreds of miles away from everything except that deafening silence. Or when you’re summiting one of Nevada’s 63 summits over 11,000 feet. Or working a line in the world’s best outdoor climbing gym. Or bagging tigers in Lamoille Canyon. Or ramblin’ on two-wheels in the off-grid Mojave. It’s sexy, freeing, and maybe even a little dangerous. Safety third, right? Nevada adventure begs for the taking—all you gotta do is grab onto it and not look back. #DFMI
